Office 2007 proves the best edition and helps to retain Microsoft Office as one of the best suites for managing your business and personal documents. It offers unified services to manage productivity apps for creating, managing, and collaborating.
The changes in MS Office 2007 are unlimited as we have arranged an exclusive list of features.
User Interface
User Interface has a big change than predecessors, it is Ribbon that has replaced the menus and toolbars in all core applications including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and so on. Now, on launching any application ‘Home Ribbon’ will appear as the default tab.
Office Button
the File menu has been replaced with the Office Button in the top left corner of the screen. You can manage all functions related to productivity apps i.e. opening, saving, and printing files.
Mini Toolbar
It is quite similar to the Context menu to handle the editing process while offering all basic formatting commands. It can’t be customized as it exists like a ghost image beside your selected content. On hovering the mouse over it will appear, or you can enable it by right-clicking or pressing the menu key using your keyboard.
Live Preview
When you make changes to your documents, and apply formatting commands and other actions from button to button, you need to take a preview to monitor your changes. The ‘Live Preview’ feature offers a quick preview option before you apply them.
Contextual Tabs
When you select some specific objects from your document, the Contextual tabs appear to expose the functionality related to the selected text.
Quick Access
You can perform some common functions i.e. save, undo, or search using the Quick Access feature. It is housed on a ribbon next to the Office button. It is customizable and allows you to add other common commands such as Print, Spell Checker, etc.
File Formats
The File Format has been changed and now, it has Open XML based on XML format as the default. The current formats are heavier than it and the users are allowed to use different extensions for saving their files such as Word files can be saved as filename.docx.
